Toby Ord

Toby Ord is a Senior Researcher at Oxford University (currently, at the university's AI Governance Initiative, and before that at the university’s Future of Humanity Institute). Toby has close to two decades of experience considering the impacts of AI, including advising Google Deepmind, the UK Prime Minister's office, and the UN. He is the author of The Precipice, which argues that safeguarding our future is among the most pressing and neglected issues we face. Toby also co-founded Giving What We Can.
